S.V.M. Science and Technology P.G. College, Lalganj Pratapgarh (self finance college) was established in 2003-04 with the affiliation of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya Awadh University, Faizabad with five subjects of science at UG level. It’s further affiliated with Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj, U.P (Formerly- Allahabad State University, Allahabad) in 2016-17. During the tenure of 2003 to till more courses were added. The college has taken an overall perspective of development plan and thereby modified college status by including new Faculties.

ABOUT US
S.V.M. Science and Technology P.G. College, Lalganj Pratapgarh came into existence in 2003-04. There was a dire need to establish a separate college of science since the region has a lower literacy rate than the national average. The college imparts non-conventional, professional and technical education. It has, over the period, emerged as a pioneering institution in the state of Uttar Pradesh.The college has keeping in view its goals, objectives, regional, national and global requirements, developed programmes which may be classified in the following manner:
1- Under-Graduate programs 2-Post-Graduate programs 3-Professional programs
The college established in 2003-04,initially, with UG level course,i.e., B. Sc. in five subjects,i.e, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.Professional courses ,i.e.,B. Ed. & B. P. Ed. is started in 2005 and 2006 respectively.Very soon,other U.G. level courses like B.A. (in 7 subjects ,i.e., Sociology, Political Science, Hindi, English, Geography, Ancient History and Home Science) and Professional course B. Lib. are introduced in the academic session 2007-08. Later on, M. Sc. Botany in 2009, M. Sc. Chemistry and M.A. Home Science in 2012, M. Sc.Maths,M.Sc. Physics and Zoology,,M.A. in Ancient History, Geography, Hindi, English and Sociology; and M. Lib. are added in 2015. In the year 2013, four more subjects ,i.e., Military science, Sanskrit, Education and Drawing & Painting are added in under graduation couses. Special intake of 100 sheets is granted in B.Ed. in 2008 while in M.Sc. Botany special section permission is granted in 2011. more..
